On Monday afternoon Dr. Conrad Murray was charged with a single count of involuntary manslaughter in connection to Michael Jackson’s June 25 death.
The charge filed by the Los Angeles District Attorney claims Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson.”
The doctor admitted to administering surgical grade anesthetics to Jackson as a way of treating his insomnia, but he maintains that the medication shouldn’t have killed the singer.
“Looking for justice,” Joe Jackson stated while walking into the courthouse earlier today.
Although Murray could face up to four years in prison, his lawyer Ed Chernoff is confident it won’t go that far.
“We’ll make bail … and we’ll fight like hell,” he avowed.
Murray will be arraigned later today at a courthouse near L.A.’s International airport. (The New York Post)
